New operations in Panama City and Cartagena strengthen BWA Yachting’s presence across the Americas and expand support for yachts cruising between the Caribbean, Latin America and the Pacific.
Ahead of the Monaco Yacht Show, BWA Yachting announces its expansion into Latin America with the opening of new agencies in Panama and Colombia, developed in partnership with Rozo Group, BWA Yachting’s preferred partner in the region. The expansion marks an important step in BWA Yachting’s growth across the Americas, bringing its services and operational expertise to two strategically significant yachting destinations.
Jaime Rozo, Managing Partner, will oversee the operations in Panama and Colombia, working alongside the local teams in both countries. BWA Yachting Panama, based in Panama City, will be managed operationally by Emanuel Lewis, while BWA Yachting Colombia, based in Cartagena, will be led by Stefy Villa. Together, they bring strong local knowledge and operational expertise to BWA Yachting’s international service platform.
Both agencies will offer BWA Yachting’s full suite of yacht agency and concierge services, including port and customs formalities, immigration and clearances, berthing, bunkering, provisioning, technical and logistical support, transportation, crew and guest assistance, concierge services and tailor-made local experiences.
A central focus for BWA Yachting Panama will be the coordination of yacht transits through the Panama Canal. From advance planning and documentation to formalities and on-the-ground assistance, the team will support captains throughout the process, providing the local coordination required for a smooth and efficient crossing.
In Cartagena, BWA Yachting Colombia will provide comprehensive support for yachts cruising Colombia’s Caribbean coast, combining operational assistance with in-depth knowledge of the destination and its surrounding cruising grounds.
The addition of Panama and Colombia also opens up new possibilities for integrated itineraries across the Americas. Combined with BWA Yachting’s established coverage throughout the Caribbean and Puerto Rico, the two new agencies create a natural connection between the Caribbean, Colombia and Panama, with onward access through the Panama Canal to the Pacific.
“Panama and Colombia occupy a unique position between the Caribbean and the Pacific, and we see significant potential in how yacht itineraries across the Americas will continue to evolve,” said Jaime Rozo, Managing Partner of BWA Yachting Panama and Colombia. “Panama in particular plays a critical role in enabling movement between these cruising regions. Looking ahead, major international events on the Pacific coast, including the Los Angeles 2028 Olympic Games, are likely to bring greater international attention to the region. Establishing the right local expertise and operational capabilities now means we will be well positioned to support yachts as new cruising opportunities develop.”
“Strengthening our presence in Latin America is an important part of BWA Yachting’s wider strategy across the Americas,” said Nikolaos Patsiokas, COO of BWA Yachting. “With Panama and Colombia, we are extending the reach of our network into two strategically important destinations while creating stronger continuity between the Caribbean, Central and South America and the Pacific. Together with Rozo Group and our local teams, our focus is on giving clients the same trusted expertise, seamless coordination and consistent level of service wherever their itineraries take them.”
Panama and Colombia mark an important new chapter for BWA Yachting in Latin America and the beginning of a broader journey across a region with significant potential for the future of superyacht cruising.
